We know it’s important for residents to understand how their money is spent. As a parish council, we’re responsible for managing a budget that supports community services, village maintenance, and day-to-day council activities.
This page is where you can find all our key financial information, including annual budgets, audit reports, spending breakdowns and any public notices. We aim to be as transparent as possible, so if you’re curious about how decisions are made or where money goes, you’re in the right place.
Whether you’re looking for a specific document or just want to get a better picture of how the council works, everything you need is here.

Precept
The precept is the element of your council tax that is paid to Worthington Parish Council. Every year, the parish council draws up budgets and calculates how much money it needs for the next financial Year. These are then submitted to North West Leicestershire District Council. NWLDC co-ordinates with other authorities to calculate the rate to be paid that year by residents.
