Become a Worthington Parish Councillor
Would you like to make a difference in your local community?
Worthington Parish Council has a vacancy for a Parish Councillor and is inviting applications from local residents interested in joining the Council through co-option.
The Parish Council works to improve and protect our local area, representing the interests of residents and supporting projects that benefit the community.
From maintaining and improving local amenities and green spaces to commenting on planning applications, supporting community events and helping shape the future of the parish, councillors play an important role in local life.
You don’t need any previous experience or specialist knowledge — just an interest in your community, a willingness to get involved and the ability to work with others.
As a Parish Councillor, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Have a say in decisions affecting your local area.
- Help develop and support community projects.
- Represent the views and concerns of local residents.
- Work with fellow councillors to make Worthington Parish an even better place to live.
The role is voluntary, with meetings held monthly throughout the year. Training and guidance are available.
